He shouldn't have. Only people that have some unwritten rule that you should sit and rot when your front office fails believes this. See Damian Lillard for context.I am not a KD fan, I am also not American, so someone explain to me why KD should have gone to a bad or dysfunctional team instead of a good situation, especially at his age. This never happens in soccer, great players always look to go to great teams. Nobody has an issue with it. The criticism of this guy makes zero sense to me.

Kevin Durant was the Bus Driver for Brooklyn this year. Kyrie requesting a trade was KD's way out without being criticized too harshly by the media and fans, so he can return to his old ways of avoiding the pressure of being the #1 on a team.

Which superstaris in the league does this? Yall really like to move the goal post and make up bullshyt criteria that seems to only apply to kd. SadHow is he the driver..it’s not his team, he didn’t help build the team up. He came to a ready made team to be a side kick and that’s okay. When shyt goes left chemistry wise Durant can’t and won’t fix it. He don’t bring shyt to the table but on court production, which is great but Chris Paul is the leader and driver of that bus.
This makes no sense, if this was the case then why did he leave the GSW? I see a nikka doing whatever the f he wants with his basketball talent and for some ppl that’s an imaginary problem. You must don't know the arc of his career ...
He shouldn't have gone to a bad team. He should have played the season out with the team he helped construct, the team that gave him red carpet treatment. Milwaukee's peaking now but Milwaukee is always regular season dominant for the last half-decade. Durant had this same core of a team on the ropes two years ago, they aren't unbeatable. And Boston is flawed.
So this idea Brooklyn couldn't compete for the conference is nonsensical, aint nobody to be afraid of in either conference...
The criticism of Durant stems in part from the pattern of behavior that if he doesn't have the top squad, he's opting out...
