Great rapper but he's extremely niche and he's not gonna have the entire east coast rally around him like kendrick did with the west because most people dont identify with his music on that scale, 25 and under knows him more for playing Unique than any of his music.. they identify with nikkas like A Boogie and Cash Cobain more than they do Joey for better or for worse

The west coast angle worked for Kendrick because, outside of the fact that he was the second biggest rapper of the past decade on a grand scale and the west's biggest rapper period, "Not Like Us" is an uptempo song with a signature regional sound that makes you wanna dance as soon as the beat drops. You're not getting that from a boom bap record.
