Has nothing to do with it because my mom hardly ever uses hers. She probably used it 10x total. I used it more than she has basically.
It drains while inactive too is what I'm saying here...
Alot of computers act differently, and there are many contributions as to why a battery would drain quickly. for example,
Video decoding and rendering in Flash consume a lot of CPU(and flash based apps, whether you know they run on flash or not)
Brightness is a contribution.
and although you claimed her comp to be inactive unless you used it, if still powered on and in sleep mode, thats still a factor for battery loss as well because Newer laptops use lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries.
any startup apps that will run processes as well when not in use, will drain battery.
