Good job with the numbers,

And as far as it being too early, people were judging the 2012 draft class week by week in here
.

The numbers tell me what I already knew, Cam turns the ball over a bit more than Kaepernick does. Good looking out on the research though

Cuz of the OROY:shaq2:

Cam also has to force the ball more to players not of the talent levels of the Niners. Add in the aspect of coaching, play design, and play calling, Cam under Harbaugh would be doing what Kaep is doing. Maybe even more

this pretty much ended this thread.

It's too early and Cam's start was very impressive as well with less weapons.

I think its fair to argue that Kaep might already be on his level as a runner though. 81 carries 689 yards and 7 tds so far this season.

The blocking on some of those big runs for Kaep has been beautiful too, that 55 yarder was a thing of beauty.

Put Newton on the 49ers with Harbaugh, Crabtree, Manningham, Staley, Gore, Davis and the all pro defense

Might turn into the NFC's Patriots

Exactly, its the same thing people keep bringing up with the Russel Wilson vs RGIII and Luck situation.

Kaep is in a situatuation TAYLOR MADE for him to SUCCEED. He has EVERYTHING any QB NEEDS in order to succeed.

Everyone knows I hate Cam Newton more than Andrew Noodle Arm Luck, but he is better than Kaep at this point. Kaep has the potential to be better and win but Cam is doing it by himself right now.

Hopefully he gets a coach and some playmakers. Still #black excellence :myman:

Last year I was big on Dalton, loved him before the draft, but God damn it looks like Harbaugh hit the homerun of homeruns with the Kaep pick.

But he is the question, is he the best QB of his draft class? In order of drafting

Cam Newton
Jake Locker
Blaine Gabbert
Christian Ponder
Andy Dalton
Colin Kaepernick
Ryan Mallet
Ricky Stanzi
TJ Yates
Nathan Enderie
Tyrod Taylor
Greg McElroy

Only one really giving him a run there is Cam/Dalton, I still think he's better than both.

to early for this WAYYYYYY to early. Let's see how he does in his first road playoff game.

Right now i'll give the edge to cam and dalton, Dalton has been in the playoffs twice while cam was ROY.

:skip: so emp what made u come around to kaep because u shytted on him for about half of his starts from what I remember. Also honestly this gb game was impressive but I dont expect this every game. It's a mix between gb's defense is really as bad as we thought, and kaep is growing as well. With a full season kaep would have ran for nearly 1300 yds and passed for abt 3500 if you project his stats over 16 games. That's insane.

Edit: actually kaep projected to pass for close to 4000 yds.

Cam is def better. He's in one of the worst situations in the league. Terrible defese, terrible offense, one of the worst coaches in the league. But he's still done well. Had a rough start to the season but finished strong and obv a great rookie year. Kaep has done well obviously but the talent level is miles above and he has one of the best coaches which makes a huge difference for a rookie level QB. Cam on SF would be a scary site

So after week one when we had multiple RG3 vs. Luck threads, after week ONE, that was the ROY discussion?

No RGIII vs Luck has been an ongoing debate since before they were drafted.

Regardless, trying to rank this draft class is too early. Your "boy" doesn't even have AC full season under his belt. If he struggle's when teams defenses have more tape on him (which is common) then what? It's to fluid right now.
