Those are two exceptions, not the rule. And I regret to inform you that while Gargano is good, he's nowhere near as good as Daniel Bryan or AJ Styles at their peaks.

Also, compare Bryan when he first came in to what he looks like now, or even right before the retirement. Breh bulked up like everyone does when they hit the E. Gargano looks like he wouldn't be able to put on the mass that they seem to like. All that aside, it'll still come down to the fact that in order to really do his thing, he'd have to wrestle a style that no one gets to do on the main roster.

I think it's fair to point out how Sami Zayn has fared on the main roster. Johnny is essentially Sami 2.0 in NXT, and Sami hasn't been shyt after everyone was sure he'd be a surefire superstar and he's 8 inches taller and 70 pounds heavier than Johnny.
