Ehh. Assuming he doesn't catch a serious brick he'll be successful, but I don't know if he'll see The Rock's level of success, primarily because he's a bit more limited as an actor.

While The Rock really does just play The Rock in everything, he can get away with it because he's got just enough acting skill to go along with his presence and charisma.

Cena is good in select roles, but he's missing versatility. The irony is that he's been pretty good in comedy roles, but falls flat in action roles. Breh was out here getting out acted by Vin Diesel in F9. Let that sink in.

I think the better comparison here would be if he's going to be the next Batista.

I agree with a lot of y’all’s assessments in here. Overall I can see Cena having a successful (in whatever way that is) career. He didn’t have to be The Rock status, but there’s levels to that movie star shyt anyway. He might get closer than we think.

:mjlol: at Bautista’s recent comments about not wanting to do a movie with Rock and Cena. I get it: above all else dude worked hard to establish a legit acting career and he ain’t trying to keep being associated with wrestling or WWE

Depends on the roles. The Rock is the better superstar but he's been choosing some garbage roles lately.

you mean The Rock has been choosing garbage his whole career. He don't got one classic under his belt outside of maybe Fast Five because of the ramifications of that movie on the industry.

Otherwise he's been in straight doo doo

but the bag been worth it :wow:

I don’t think Hollywood will ever seek him out for big budget solo roles like they do the Rock, but Cena may end up with more lead roles than Batista. So I think he’ll settle somewhere between Rock and Batista.

Hell, he’s now getting the same ensemble cast summer movie roles that both Rock and Batista thrive in/ get steady paychecks for.

Worth noting that Rock is 49 but started nearly 20 years ago with fairly consistent work to build his brand and resume. Many ppl now know Rock more as an actor and motivational Instagram poster than they do as a wrestler.

Batista (52) and Cena (44) have had some early dabbles (GotG1, the Marine) but only within the last 4-5 years have you seen things kinda pickup steam.
