I was responding to your claim that E40's music spoke louder then Jay Z's. If E40's was louder then my question is 'what major hits where on MTV/BET to back your claim?' Rakim is a bad example because during his prime(86-92) his music didnt have the same platforms as E40 and Jay Z'S during their prime.

get into office. Performed in music festivals, stadiums. Has arguably the most classic music catalogue in hip-hop. Became President of Def Jam, who can single handily sell out ARENAS all over the world among other EPIC things.Then yeah keep thinking 40 is better..

I believe that jay success is due to Pac and big death. Net York was hurt by big death and forced jay z down our ears thru radio. He instantly became the "king". On top of that his hits are either juatblaze kanue or pharrel .rick Ruben And if its not a top producer then he has a feature of the hottest artist , eminem,kanye,Alicia keys, beyonce ,bunpimpc, jt, drake,etc. Is jay z music authentic or just mainstrwm excellence ? Does his music have a pure NYC sound ?
