How you teach at a Uni and have such a shytty hot take? :heh:

I'm not saying everybody in the world that is over a certain age will have trouble in college. That is obviously not true. I'm just going by what I noticed in my older undergraduates during the time I taught statistics. Like I mentioned elsewhere, maybe it's just an issue with statistics classes. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that a lot of older students may have forgotten key parts of their high school education. Again, I'll stress that not everybody over a certain age will have trouble, but in my experience teaching stats at one university a trend emerged. Maybe it's different elsewhere or in other classes :yeshrug:

I was at a HBCU in Louisiana as well :wow::takedat::myman:

I transferred at 21and I still turned up from time to time:ehh:

I couldn't imagine living in the dorms at that age tbh, but I knew plenty of 21-23 year olds that were in dorms believe it or not :yeshrug:

I actually knew of a couple guys that were 29 and 34 in the dorms too. They made it work but I couldn't do it lol.

Nothing wrong with going back but don't be trying to do freshman shyt as a grown man. Leave those kids alone

Stay off campus if you can and don't stick around. 22-23 you'll still find plenty of people to chill with so find that crowd

Well I could see what you mean about Stats classes. Math classes overall will be a struggle cause you already come in with shaped beliefs so it takes a bit to get over that hurdle of accepting axioms and proving theorems..... I did struggle at first, it wasn't a walk in the park. I see where the issues arise tho. There is a misconception that serious Uni, STEM course Uni is just gonna be a lil bit harder than high school..... lol.... shock to the system..... so on more reflection I see where you're coming from......gotta be willing to put in the work
