Is it true that the Black American wasn't into the classic smash hit TV show F.R.I.E.N.D.S

But I’m 24 which I’m pretty sure is the prime age for nikkas who watched that shyt.

That was a renowned white people show my whole childhood lol, that, Rosane Barr... Wasn’t no blk people watching that.

I didn’t grow up in the burbs tho so I can’t speak for Huxtables.
Black folks definitely watched Rosanne. Rosanne was a lot more relatable than the average white sitcom because they were poor white trash

Never watched Friends. :hubie:

but i was a Seinfeld stan. Did not watch my 1st episode until they were getting ready for the finale. They played the top 10 Seinfeld episodes and i caught the one where George was lying about being a marine biologist:mjlol:

Of course way later we all saw Kramers outburst:yeshrug:

But man i never thought i would be into Seinfeld but the shyt was funny:ehh:

Wow, that's crazy because I got into Seinfeld in a similar way and that same episode is the first one I saw that made me start watching.

As for Friends I don't know why I never watched it. A lot of younger folks may not understand time slots and how tv shows were put in competition with one another on certain days. So it may not necessarily be that you didn't like a show but it's possible another show that you already liked was in the same time slot so you had to make a choice. An example I can remember is when Martin got popular it was in the same time slot as the Cosby show so while I really liked the Cosby show I stopped watching it because I liked Martin's show more.

Bc that corny shyt is what replaced black TV on NBC. Networks relied heavily on black sitcoms and when they got their cache up they cancelled all of our shyt network wide for yuppie white corny TV shows like Friends.
Watch this @ 4:45 specifically

Seinfeld is GOAT though
