Is it true ECW is responsible for kicking off the attitude era and the NWO?

Id say the Attitude Era was just as much influenced by ECW as it was crash tv

Maybe ECW was just crash tv
Russo was just sharking ECW shyt and filtering it through his B-Movie taste.

Stuff like the dumpster angle were lifted wholesale from ECW storylines.

ROH from 02-08 :wow:

ROH is what got me back into wrestling after WCW and the real ECW folded. A friend, then manager, introduced me to it sometime between 2007-10 and I went on a DVD buying spree. If he hadn't introduced me to ROH I likely would be on like a 20-year run of not watching wrestling.

Just because ECW was bigger doesn't mean ROH wasn't great. They had a nationally syndicated weekly TV show and was the prime feeding and training ground for a lot of WWE and AEW talent.
I loved RoH. But it's one of ECWs kids. We're talking derivatives. You're not wrong but that's also not what I'm arguing.
