No fault of his own, but it seems as if son is a wrap. He came in with such an allure and buzz and they squandered it. I guess in their minds they were protecting him, by keeping him in a holding pattern. He gets hurt, comes back and does nothing for a year... every feud has felt like filler. For no payoff really. Unless he wins the Rumble.
I’m not sure he’s salvageable at this point. Not on RAW at least.
The problem is this; the champ (Brock) is never around, and he’s being saved for one person (Roman) so nobody else can get over until Roman does.
Same thing happened to Seth when he came back, people were ready to choose him over Roman. They said “nah keep him heel, because we don’t want the competition.”, Same thing happened to Dean too.
Woulda happened to AJ had he not been lucky enough to go to Smackdown.
Finn is just there... nothing compelling or iconic. No good segments... There are no good storylines to keep Finn occupied because they don’t bother to write any anymore.
And all this time has given people too much of a chance to assess and nitpick his short comings. His first night on RAW and his Summerslam wins nobody questioned much. Now people seem to be “oh he only does kicks”, “he’s small”,”he can’t talk” etc.
They took the shine off of him. This whole Brock Royal Rumble thing made it even worse. He’s in a less prominent role than Jason Jordan.
They always think they can hear people up when they want to. Then when things don’t connect they blame the performer.
So my question is... is it a wrap for Prince Devitt???
