Is it time for WWE to move forward with WrestleMania being on two nights?

I thought it'd be a good idea before realizing that I prefee the idea of fans being able to attend Takeover, The Hall of Fame, then Mania and Raw consecutively.

Putting another night of Mania in the Takeover spot could throw a wrench in that.

One day, 5 hour, 1-Hour pre-show, 4-Hour main show.

Was two nights easier to sit through? Yeah, but there was still a lot of fat on the card.

We got the exact same world title match two nights in a row and these are suppose to be the biggest prizes in the game?

I'd rather see MITB, Summer Slam, and Survivor Series move to stadiums to make up for trimmed down Mania spots.

I don't think you can book 10 blow-off Wrestlemania Moments at Wrestlemania - but Wrestlemania should have the best and biggest.

The rest, I think you have to spread them out.

Drew's Royal Rumble was bigger and better than his Wrestlemania coronation.

Make the Takeover before Mania official by calling it NXT Takeover: Wrestlemania, add in a couple big main roster matches, and then do the rest night 2 :yeshrug:modern Wrestlemania is far too long and since they’re not about to scale back the runtime on one night, cut it in half and do it across 2 nights. This year’s was the easiest to get through since atleast 30 because neither night felt overly long, despite some matches dragging

There was a lot of fat on the card because the company insists on making people earn their WM bonus. WM never used to be as bloated as it's become. Everyone, whether they worked the show or not, should get their check. Only the stories that need a WM payoff should be on the card. There's no valid reason to why WM should end close to midnight on the East Coast.

Thursday Night: NXT Takeover
Friday Night: HOF Inductions
Saturday Night: Smackdown Card
Sunday Night: RAW Card

Pretty feasible to have a two-day Mania and it makes sense so the show doesn't drag for 6-7 hours.

I like this. Have FOX air the HOF ceremony.

You're blowing up traveling fans' budgets with this schedule. The RAW After Mania is a big show and now you're adding a 5th day for anyone who wants to stay and attend.

Takeover on Thursday is also inconvenient now. Fans flying in usually take the Friday to explore the city , go to axxess, go to the HOF and build up to Takeover.

That's the only hiccup, but they should release the card well in advance so people can decide. Lower the ticket prices may be an option as well so people can attend both if they choose.

I can't speak for anyone else here, but I've been to a WrestleMania and I can't fathom doing one again if it's all on one night especially with WWE aiming to get everyone on the card. It becomes miserable.

Nah, good in theory, but tickets go on sale for Mania in November, so there is no way they will know the card that early. Plus, injuries can happen all the way up to last minute. They arent gonna be able to fill 60k-70k in stadium for 2 nights. Plus people paying for parking, concessions, etc. Im already there for all 4 shows most years, I dont need another high-priced ticket for a 5th show.

That being said, they do need to end by 11:30-12. Thats plenty of time for 3 preshow matches (6p-7p) and 13 main card matches (both world title matches were short, Edge/Orton was 10-15 minutes too long, the SD womens and NXT womens would have had a few minutes chopped off each). Very doable.

Can people stop saying make Wrestlemania 2 night show?

someone needs to tell Vince we dont give a shiit about 6-7 filler matches. Its been like that for like 5 years now. Wrestlemania's same hyped 3-4 matches are the only ones that ever delivier

a 4-5 hour Wrestlemania is all we need

7pm-11:30 max

The Best of the Best should only be on Wrestlemania just like the best NBA players make the All-Star game on Sundays

Wrestlemania 36 should have been this year even in a Stadium...

Main Event: Drew McIntyre vs Brock Lesnar - WWE Title

Co-Main: Becky Lynch vs Shayna Baszler - Women's Title

Cinema segment 2: "FireFly Funhouse Match"

Cooldown: Otis vs Dolph

Edge vs Randy Orton - Last Man Standing

Cooldown: Charlotte vs Rhea Ripley

Cinema segment 1: "Boneyard Match"

Braun Strowman vs Goldberg - Universal Title

Cooldown: Bayley vs Sasha vs Tamina vs Naomi vs Lacey

Opener: Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins

I agree.

I just like the feel of a big day moment. Not a big weekend moment.

I don't even watch wrestling as consistently as I used to, but nothing beats Wrestlemania Sunday and getting with the crew to watch. Which I and many others would certainly not dedicate my time or resources into having two parties for two nights of WM. The diehards would, but not the casuals.

WM is almost similar to the Super Bowl. Which is why the Super Bowl is the best of all the major sports championships. It's a one day, winner take all EVENT which makes the day special. Not dragged out over multiple days like MLB, NBA, and NHL's big championship events.

The crowd wouldn't be able to maintain the intensity for back to back days either. (not to mention the whole week...what, they'd have to make Takeover take place on their Wednesday night now(?), put the HOF at Thursday, keep Smackdown at Friday [cuz FOX damn sure aint paying WWE all that money to have them punt their show during WM weekend], and then do the 2 nights of WM, followed by RAW on Monday)

I get the argument for two days and wanting to allocate each match their deserved time limit and the idea that it helps pace the show and fans better...but when an event is one night only it brings so much value to the show.

So again, keep it one night and have the best matches/stars make the show...if you don't make the cut, tough luck. :yeshrug:

Perfectly said

Your take is fair, but if more and more matches are going to be added to the card, Wrestlemania quickly becomes a 6 hour event at minimum. At what point do you draw the line?
