I love Walking Dead, but no.

Spartacus, Game of Thrones, Dexter and Misfits are all better than Walking Dead. And while I haven't started watching Homeland or Break Bad yet, I'm sure they're at least in the convo.

Walking Dead only has about 4 characters I genuinely root for - Glen, Rick, Darryl and Michonne. Everybody else sucks. It amazes me how I can like a show so much when the cast is so shytty. Really goes to show a lot of the credit has to go to the cinematography and overall concept of the show.

Season 2 had its moments, but overall it was pretty fukking weak. 1 was great and 3 has been perfect so far.

Its an entertaining show. Having a good run of episodes 3 seasons deep does not make it one of the best.

curious, whats the black representation in all these other shows looking like?

for example, the walking dead is a complete cac'terization of the source material. The books actually had a diverse honorable array of black folks and wasn't on that token weak shyt that the tv series is on... y'know, like with garbage ass "t-dawg" (like wtf type of name is that?... his momma aint name him that shyt..) and changing the best female character in the books into a stank faced black stereotype. Rather than bringing in Tyrese (best supporting character in the books) and Michonne around the time they were supposed to.. they decided to drag on with that wack ass farm/sofia storyline in season 2 so they could keep the central cast cac.

Even before I read the books i had the face on when they 1st introduced t-dawg () by literally having a klan member spit on and stomp the shyt outta him like he was a bytch in front of everybody... and of course the klan member and his brother turned out to be made up characters just for the tv show

So yea, not that i'm expecting Luther (Idris) or House of Lies (Cheadle) levels of excellence... but real talk how are black folks portrayed in these other highly touted shows?? I mean.. yknow... assuming they do have black folks in em?

What shows are you talking about, because a few have been mentioned and I dunno which you've seen out of what's been said.

I would put Homeland, Breaking Nad and one of my personal favorites Suits in front of it..

I tried to watch the first couple of episodes of season 1 and I just wasn't into it.

I'm not a big fan of Zombie shows and movies so it just doesn't really appeal to me though I've heard this season has been pretty good.

When has the horror genre had four likeable characters on a episodic style show.
It is horror,..
You are not supposed to like but one character at the most.
So to get four likeable characters by your own admission.
Means, it is four times more likeable.
nikkaz can't name but one Nancy from Freddie, Bruce Campbell, Naomi Harris, timothy o and Joe from the crazies and jada in demon knight as likeable characters in general in horror.
Horror almost never has likeable characters.
You are supposed to want the characters to die.

I've been watching but I've lost interest ever since they killed off my boy Shane. Shane was too real for the apocalypse
