Right, a lot of the new shyt has not been interesting to me and made me stop watching it unless it an old anime. Nowadays I just read manga because it captures all the details of a storyline without fillers.

For the life of me i can't find shyt worth watching. Everything i try is just tropes and cliche's. Miyazaki was right. Most of the writers are inspired by other anime/manga rather than life experience, and it shows.

The white worship for one in some series can be extreme (Medieval influences is a big one), most characters look white at a glance.

The stories can be very cliche, some have way too much "Fan service" (girls showing skin for no reason but to sell Blu rays) , The Dubs can be hit or miss, The fans can ruin a series for you easy, the god damn "I wish I was born Asian" people who make it hard to talk about it to begin with.

That fukking "moe" shyt and their love of underage girls.

I could go on.

I do watch it btw, just not a lot. I like the gritty/adult themes stuff. Gundam these days and I just bought my first manga ever (Berserk).

This is another key reason why I lost interest in it every new anime that drops is cliche as hell to the point where you know how the plot is going to end. Now granted manga/manwha/webtoons has its moments where its like that but, there are so many genres within them that'll make it harder to come by other authors with the same type of storylines.

If you're being reasonable, and not immediately telling your brain not to like something, which many people have difficulty with; then you'll understand that there is a wide spectrum of genres, styles, and depictions of anime just like with any other entertainment medium.

there is likely at least one story in the medium that could captivate or fit with anyone exposed to it; in short, just like there is a book for eveyone, there is an anime for everyone.

It's just a matter of whether or not you'll take the time to go to the bookstore...


however, people that show any sort of liking toward animated action, or have thought any sort of animated action sequence was "cool" in their lifetime. whether it be a fight between Spiderman and Venom or Superman vs DoomsDay etc etc,

should look into some action based anime, because action sequences done in japan, well exceed anything the west typically outputs. It will raise the standard for what you see as "nasty" or "sick"

what made the matrix, the raid, etc shyt on other action movies so hard? the directors were anime fans.

I seriously hate what it's become. I stopped watching anime around 2011-2012. Of course however, Im always down for watching the old good stuff from the late 80s, 90s and 2000's stuff.

I don't hate it, just don't enjoy it. It's like meh.

Part of it is just some of it is really cheesy, and people like this make it no better.

I don't want any part of this, not to knock them but it's just so weird to me.

Also I'm a grown man. I can fukk with American Dad, F is for Family, Family Guy, Rick and Morty, South Park and Boondocks, but anime is just too childlike for me.
