Is it me or does the HD quality of this Avengers scene makes it look fake as hell?

Also, in the case of that specific clip it's not the "HD Quality," it's that the uploader artificially sped up the frame rate so it's gonna look even worse. It creates this unnatural ghosting and the soap opera effect that just makes everything shytty and smeared.

Most cgi heavy films age poorly. It's just how it is.

It keeps getting better which in turn makes older films flaws look even worse.

So something that looks good today looks like shyt 5 years from now.

All these movies and shows that use cgi blood :hhh:

I wonder how Avatar looks at that rate :patrice:

one of the reasons why The Dark Knight remains as the GOAT:wow:

they didn't go overboard with CGI and mainly used it where they had to but stuck with the practical effects making the film look :ohlawd: almost 10 years later

:mjpls: How much CGI did they even need to begin with? No aliens. Nobody had super powers. You reaching a little too hard.

That's the problem with CGI now. Like, the quality is objectively better than 20 years ago in every way, but because it's so advanced now studios can go completely overboard with shyt and it all winds up looking faker than the old stuff. Like with Jurassic World.

As much as I love Civil War, it's a really ugly movie visually because of the bad CGI.

:dahell: Y'all trippin, the CGI in CW was good. Avengers was a little off but its a damn comicbook movie so...it was good enough.

Did y'all not see the CGI in Justice League? That shyt was distracting.

That's not the correct frame rate breh. There is motion interpolation.

This, this, this. The scene posted by the OP runs 60fps which creates the fake soap opera effect. It's the same reason why 48fps came and went with the Hobbit trilogy because it only amplifies the feeling that you are watching actors on a soundstage.

The CGI in the movie is still fine. Yes, eventually it will look outdated but so will all CGI. I can still enjoy the first Spider-Man even though the CGI is so bad that Spidey and Green Goblin look like they are photoshopped into the whole thing.

Captain Americas costume was trash as fukk in Avengers. The piff ass costume in WS he wore should be CGI'd into Avengers 1.

I remember seeing the trailer for Avengers 1 and thought it was on some Beowolf shyt. Cap was lookin silly as fukk.

That 60 FPS fukked it up. Tweak the lighting and the frame rate then the effects are gonna be terrible.
