Nas was a street rapper more than Pac. You are contradicting yourself and I knew that was your angle from the jump. They are "not street"
I don't agree with you and most hip hop fans don't neither. Hence why the 2 are rappers are doing the best of their generation besides Drake.
This mindset of what defines realness is played out as hell. Kendrick is from Compton but because he didn't bang he isn't street and can't talk about the struggle that was all around him and in his own family. That's retarded fam.
Problem with y'all analysis is these guys do have clout regardless of how much they are disparaged on here because they don't fit the mood of rappers y'all want them to be like. But I already know the next excuse is gonna be that they talking to white people even though this has been proven false...

Why are u being so dense. I'm not arguing they aren't two of the biggest artist of this generation, or that they have to be street to be the biggest, I'm arguing they don't have the same impact a Jay or Pac had when it comes to uplifting the community because they don't have that clout! You're arguing two different things.
I don't care how much y'all dudes on the net wanna try and act like that has no impact on them being tuned out, but it's facts.
And yes, unfortunately, they DO have to fit the stereotype of a bravado rapper to have pull like that with the masses.
Im paraphrasing but u said that you don't have to be active to be from the streets or be real, which is facts. But wats also facts is that two nikkas from the EXACT SAME hood would not automatically have the same pull. The nikka that's active would have way more clout than the bruh who wasn't, that's not a knock on the bruh that wasn't active but thats just the way it is.
"You didn't live it u witnessed it from ya folks pad, scribbled it in ya notepad and created ya life" is why Jay will always have more pull than the artist aforementioned (Ie. Cole, Nas, etc) I'm not even sure why you're trying to refute that
