Is it bad to not befriend coworkers?

As long as your co-workers an your boss RESPECT you thats all that matters.Dont go in there kissin ass but be friendly (if that makes sense). The people you need to be friends with is obviously the janitor and the secretary. Notice I didnt say BOSS.The Janitor and the secretary know more the organization then the boss.Janitors over hear meetings and secretaries be knowng the inside dirt :laugh:Pick your battles and pick your friends wisely at the job. Thats your bread...and if you have to go to a company cookout go but dont stay long :laugh:

It depends. If the job is below you, stay to yourself and grind for a better job. If the job is progressive yes, because your co workers will provide a lane to move forward rather than hold you back like jobs which are beneath your current potential.
