I'm a fan of the bodega boys and the Seuss and Nero show. They definitely took shots at akademiks before he did to them. Specifically mero did in the podcast a few times in the past.

Good to see someone here about the truth.

Talked about mainstream? The hell are y'all talking about. Someone just posted these dudes on Fallon and other late night, they're on espn they have a much further reach. Maybe ak is cool to male hip hop fans 16-25, but I could not drop his name in my circle and expect people to know him, I can discuss D&M cuz more people know them.
lol anyone can get on falon if vice is behind the scenes paying falon for the interview to get their viewership up they have marketting dollars behind them falon aint fukking wanting to interview these nikkas lol
ak has more reach from his computer desk than these nikkas

Desus & Mero will contribute to ESPN's NBA coverage

Desus & Mero Contributing to ESPN's NBA Coverage
Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, who host a late-night talk show on VICE's Viceland channel, will contribute to ESPN's NBA coverage this season, the sports network announced on Tuesday.

"ESPN is collaborating with comedy duo Desus Nice & The Kid Mero, ‘Desus & Mero’ from Viceland, to create short videos featuring their commentary about the biggest NBA storylines on and off the court — from blockbuster trades to evolving hairlines, notable hirings to questionable fashion choices, as well as their bold predictions for the upcoming year," ESPN said in a statement. "The shorts will be incorporated across ESPN's NBA coverage on digital, social and TV platforms."

The pair have become well-known for their unfiltered and humorous analysis of sports and general news, and their first video for the Worldwide Leader displayed that same off-beat and jocular style.

AK HAS ONE NICHE, AND THAT'S MAINLY BLOWING UP NEW RAPPERS, THAT'S IT. How in the fukk does that make him have a longer reach. None of the old hip-hop heads, shyt even some of the new ones, don't fukk with AK at all. Vic called him out on the shyt he was doing to his face, and nikka was shook. Where is the demand for Ak? Who is calling Ak for interviews? Is Ak on with Neil Degrasse Tyson, Spike Jonze, Whoopi Goldberg and Seth Rogen?

You could respect his grind all ya want, but you guys are fukking delusional if you think some nikka on Twitch and Youtube has anywhere near Desus and Mero's exposure, just because of these fabled internet millions. It's become increasingly difficult to monetize that shyt, why do you think a bunch of companies are dropping out of Netflix and just starting their own shyt, why do you think that Twitch started IRL streams, nikkas couldn't make money off of only playing games all day. Why are former Youtube streamers bytching everyday about Youtube taking their ads away? How the fukk you gonna say Ak has more reach, when nobody is picking up the phone to interview him or anything. And that self-made shyt, Desus and Mero were on Complex and came up from here, KTT and Twitter, how is that not self-made? They did everything AK has done and more. They're not great at interviews either, but at least they have respect from the people they interview and they don't need Budden to save their ass from fumbling over their words.

Bruh they are on the internet too though. Desus has almost as many followers as AK. I don't know what you're really trying to say. These nikkas sell out Merch and live shows. I mean they got some shyt called the Bodega Hive thats some internet shyt.
With all that said most people still don't know them like they know Ak

Followers don't mean shyt when Ak original page which had more followers got shut down
