Ice Spice recorded her first song, a lightweight drill track called “Bully Freestyle,” 18 months ago. She began rapping seriously through a relationship built with producer RiotUSA when they were both attending SUNY Purchase, just north of the city. (The beatmaker is also the son of Hot 97’s DJ Enuff.)
