Its ok friend we all make mistakes when reccomending films to friends. Sometimes, films we think are good because they talk about subjects dear to our hearts end up being not good. I remember when you said this film was better than man of steel because you thought it was going to be such an intellectual film but it turns out the film isnt driven by dialogue and is a point a to b survival thriller thats all action with little speaking. Maybe drama is more your genre to have critical opinions. You seem to miss the mark with action, friend.

Friend, a film can be intelligent without dialogue. I think you're the one who is mistaken here. I was referring to the intelligence of the movie, not of its dialogue. Man of Steel didn't have that sign of intelligence in its production. A movie doesn't have to be deep to be good. It can be a pure action film. It just needs to be well-made, friend.

Saw a matinee this morning.

First half was amazing, the visuals/3D gave me a sense of wonder and when hell broke loose it had some tense moments.

2nd half wasnt as good. I guess a commercial movie cant be made without a human element, but it felt like average hollywood drama, was bland coming after the great first half.

Worth seeing, imo.

Was After Earth a good film to you?

Sadly, no, friend. It was clearly filled with propaganda from the cult of scientology, and also by the problems that have plagued M Night Shyamalan's movies for a long time. Will wasn't bad, but he was barely in the movie compared to Jaden, since the movie was clearly made to give Jaden some shine, and he was trash.
