Anytime someone gets called a "globalist" all I can do is shake my head, because to me it seems like the most generic and meaningless insult of all time.

What does "globalist" even mean? Is anybody that's not a nationalist a globalist? Is keeping the rest of the world in mind when you make decisions bad for some reason? Or is there some secret society called the "globalists" that I don't know about?

Just seems like something that's up there with "Marxist" as a generic insult.

A globalist is someone who doesn’t put “America first” by acting in the best interest of foreign countries that actually hurt America and our democracy.

Like Trump :manny:

No, it's not meaningless. But, like most words in the American political conversation, it's mostly used by people who have little idea what they're talking about. Just like "Socialism" is meaningless in the American political conversation. "Progressive", "Liberal", "Conservative": all words used generally by uninformed people pretending like they've done the work to be informed when really all they've done is scroll through their twitter feed and watched their preferred TV news personality each night.

Right wing media loves adding "ist" to demonize certain words.

I like how they made up racialist because, you know, racist wasn't good enough.

But yeah, like others have said globalist is a dog whistle for the Jews that run the world (ie george soros is such a globalist)
