Never thought it was a classic, but it was a really good album.

shyt was fire.. so many classic G unit tracks. I still got a handful of these in a few spotify playlists of mine.. the beats on this album were fukking crazy

It was more entertaining than the black album and at least they wrote it as a group collective. As opposed to jayz needing a group collective effort in writing on a solo album. Which was supposed to be his third or fourth retirement for that time.
The only real narrative for beg for mercy is the comparison to the black album for that time. Past that the sonic landscape for that time is commercially dated and most albums for that sonic landscape are difficult to revisit culturally as a listen. As so much pass giving cultural skill compromise took place. It is even more oft putting and striking to revisit this time after the fact now.
