Is Fifty being "competitive" with Jay and Puff or is it just jealousy and hatred?

Its hatred. Curtis hate any black male with more money than him in music. Everyone knew Puff was a demon, and it was Cassie that got him out the paint.

Curtis hates Jay Z because people in Hip Hop history remember the ROC a lot better thnlan G Unit. The east coast was flourishing when the ROC was running things. G Unit killed the east coast and let the South take over. A lot of older Hip Hop heads from the Wu Tang era know what I'm talking about.

Like I said, he wants to do the same thing to all black men in Hollywood too, including Denzel and Spike Lee.

50 is 50...anyone from NY and people who have followed him a long time and even his closest associates have said he's a bit crazy. He's a lone wolf you can't control and that's why he almost got murdered. He's always been a bully. I think nowadays it is a marketing ploy. Jay don't respond to him because that's exactly what 50 is looking for.

I think he said that bts, Jigga has always talked badly about him to potential business partners, so he feels justified in going at them. At the same, theres enough bread to go round but nikkas always wanna be the hnic

Jigga is a hoe for that…

That’s how he was acting when he ran Def Jam.

The South was taking over by default anyways…

NY fell off due to:

1. Competition going too far. 50 definitely played a part in that. He brought it back to 96 Pac.

The Nas vs Jay-Z beef helped separate NY along with the Lox beefing with Jay-Z and Beans

2. Samples becoming expensive and producers making non sample beats that cater to Southern cats

He dropped the ball with beans. He should of went all in on him and made him a superstar.

You claim that he dropped the ball, and held him back when the following things are true…

- Featured him on his biggest selling album
- Featured him on the lead single of his next two albums
- Featured multiple times on Beanie's solo albums
- Had him on SNL performing with him, and in skits with Will Ferrell
- Made him the leader of his own group
- The above turned into a starring movie role of his group's namesake that saw a release in theaters, and spawned a sequel, and two albums

It's easy to point the finger at someone else as to why things didn't pan out the way you think they should, but the reality is he definitely wasn't held back, he couldn't stay out of trouble, and as someone already stated, he just didn't have "it"

Case in point, when you look at someone else who came out around the same time in Nelly, who had none of the above or the backing of an already established superstar, excuses are just that. You either have it or you don't.
