No different than the Cowboys getting coverage whether they make the playoffs or are trotting out Brandon Weeden at QB. These media members don't watch all the games. So they often go for low hanging fruit or high draws.

My favorite two programs both have Knick coverage no matter what: The Right Time and The Dan LeBatard Show, both have cohosts who are Knick fans.

Being from a rival market absolutely makes sense. Like #Hawkset , I love when I go back and forth with them, even though their hate stems from their significant others stepping out on them for some NYer in a dusty Xmas Knicks jersey and some tims.
