I know there is people that's just gonna buy it because it's the latest and greatest, but I'm not convinced the X is better than the 8 Plus honestly

They didn't have the right materials to incorporate TouchID into the screen, once they can it'll return.

It's an interim solution until they get their supply constraints sorted out.

The cameras basically the same. X has portrait mode on the front though and the back both cameras have optical image stabilization instead of just one.
