JR used to catch the holy ghost on some
shyt when the heels would do somethin' wrong. Even when Cole got outraged, he sounded fake as hell. Sometimes it sounds like JR had to be brought back down and told it's only a show after the tape stopped rolling.

Edge always came off as way to cool of a character to really hate, plus he lost enough times that he was never really unbearable. Remember this, Edge won a shyt load of titles in the span of a few years but he almost always dropped them in 1-3 months. Now Jarrett and HHH on the other hand

I know very few people that genuinely hated edge.
Honesty WWEs best heels have usually been authority figures, Vince,Stephanie, Vicki Guerrero come to mind, the laptop that ran raw for a few months got good heel heat too.
In terms of wrestlers the Miz i reckon is the best performing heel they have had in the past decade. Everyone else gets go away heat and so did Miz for a long time but some people could see just hoe good a heel he was in all that and eventually Miz starts getting babyface reactions cause of his work.
Samoa Joe plays the heel role amazingly, but he gets cheered
