Dude is a true independent hustler, guess its the Bay Area mentality. He definately caked off of Jive Records back in the day. Forget Master P because A) He bit 'Pac superhard and B) He's probably lost it all now, E-40 is a true grinder in every sense of the word.
nah him n p in the same boat..but e-40 never fell off..n had to restructure none of it..
p made more money e40 in the beginnin...both use the same companys e-40 n p hustle came str8 out of houston texas...they both had a distrubition deal with southwest whole sale...n both use pen n pixel for graphics..
both use their southwest wholesale account until it went under...40 n p were the only major players with soutwest accounts that tried to save the company
p got more money off the back..kuz he treated the music business like the dope game...every 2 weeks when nikkas was gettin paid..a new album was comin out..
p had a system..he had beats by the pound production team..n had a army full of rappers who were hungry n ready to drop when it was their time...10 decent songs out the core rappers fill the rest of it up with filler...cds out rinse wash n repeat
e40 didnt have the luxury of his own production team..it was sam bostic, studio tone, ant banks..mike mosley and rick rock n a couple of others..40 prolly thought about gettin em all together n make em their core group for his label..but never got around to it..
master p...used his roster as guest spots...he had nikkas who he knew would fukk with em on gp...
e-40 had the same but outside of family he had to do invoices on alot of cats...
e-40 had the resources but he didnt need to rely on droppin every 2 weeks to stay afloat...and everybody on his roster dropped...
its funny e40 n p used the same resources..and 40 had the longest career..n nothin change about em...
