I've also always been interested to know what damage these articificial sweetners do compared to sugar, however I've never found a solid answer.

I have the odd Pepsi Max or Coke Zero now and then, which hasn't affected my progression. Obviously it'd be better to drink green tea/water but I don't think the odd one is gonna hurt - certainly hasn't hurt me.

Plus they put artificial sweetners in most of, if not all protein shakes, so are you gonna say they're bad too?

They have next to zero calories so from that POV - no they are fine.

However they are poor for hydration. But one with your meal will do you no damage weight wise.

Don't know about the artificial sweetener stuff.
