:mjlol: This is the most reactionary, prisoner of the moment take I ever seen about a RB. I from Nashville and a Titans fan btw.

Its so disrespectful to about 10 rbs off the rip.

I really enjoyed watching Lynch run, and he is honestly one of the most likeable players I've seen play in the NFL.

I'll leave it at that and won't compare the two of them.
breh one thing about Lynch is when the stakes were highest he would always have an explosion play

2014 NFC championship run to tie the game

2011 Beast Quake

Huge regular season run agains the Cardinals on SNF

There are more, as there are some with OJ ahead. It seems to be 50/50 on who people think was better with slightly more favoring Allen...

Side note, I used to run and get Athlon Sports NFL mag every August when I was a kid, they had the GOAT NFL preview mag way back!

I more often see OJ ranked higher because of his amazing peak. His 1973 season (2,000 in 14 games) isn't even his best overall season stat-wise. He put up better numbers in 1975.

Marcus Allen did win MVP in 1985, but had that whole beef with Al Davis and shared the backfield with Bo for 4 seasons, which hurt his numbers in his late 20s/early 30s. His longevity was amazing, he played until he was 37. He told Kansas City he was fresher because he was splitting carries with Bo, but he was playing fullback so obviously he was taking punishment. I think he was a freakish athlete too, for his body to hold up for so long.

Are you old enough to have watched him play in real time?

Anyone that watched barry play in real time would never dismiss him like that. Dude never slowed down and even retired after having a 1500 yard season.

3 more seasons would have put him at 20,000 career rushing yards with ease.

I’ll have to see how his career pans out, there’s a lot of great RB’s out there still ahead of him. He’s really good but I put him in the Arian Foster category at least for 2 more seasons of the same production before we start talking goat status.
