He has almost the same amount of rushing yards in the playoffs as Beast Mode.....on nearly a 100 less attempts.

Beastmode got 6 SIX 100+ yard games in the playoffs and played in a team that went to 2 SB's in b2b years. Who cares what Henry yards and on how many carries. 6 > 3

His stats are inherently better than AD's in the playoffs since his team didn't make it as often as Henry's but that also just speaks to how great the 👑 is for draggin' his team there...
AD wasn't mentioned in the post I responded too. So he's irrelevant.

As far as modern day, can't even talk about Chubb or Barkley as they didn't drag their team to the playoffs nearly as often as Henry.

What i responsed to has nothing to do with who dragged their team to the play offs.

Even somebody like L. Tomlinson (who I fux wit), he has more playoff games than Henry but worse stats---lower ypc, less yards, all that.

Irrelevant
So what we talkin' about. He's definitely up there as far as elevating his game in the playoffs or staying consistent at the very least which not many people do in any sport across the board.

What we talking about is you butting in and not following chain of the conversation.

Beastmode and Emmitt have 6+ 100 yard games in the playoffs. Saying Henry is in the same bracket as them as a playoff performer not yet. And if we factor in Faulk as the receiving threat he had 7 100+ yards games from scrimmage.

3 good games and nothing since before Covid :patrice: .

Just saying:hubie:
Fair enough but there isn't a better back on that stage in his era. So while you could say his playoff numbers are questionable versus previous All-Timers, nothing about him, including playoffs, is questionable since he became a full time starter. Nobody in his era is even close to him...

Where have I even questioned his ability? All I'm pointing out that putting him in the playoff performer level as 3 players who have double his 100+ yard games is too soon when his career isn't even finished. And sports run on what have you done for me lately and those numbers look like 40 and 62.

King Henry!

His 1783 yards this year, is his second highest year of his career. 14 rushing touchdowns is his third most touchdowns. He's up to 11,285 for his career, now the 20th-leading rusher of all time...

Who's directly in front of him?

19. John Riggins (11,352)

Henry is better than Riggins. When he hits his tenth season next year, he should chop down some truly historic names coming up...

We are watching a guy make his case as the greatest running back ever in real time. This is already the greatest 30+ season in NFL history:

He is a huge load, wonder how many seasons he has left in the tank. Maybe 2, then 2 more as a goal line back

Very impressive age 30 season. 1783 yds in 16 games. Beating Martin's record with an extra game to go.

Running backs are weird.

It's the only position where we judge on raw talent/physical abilities/highlights instead of results.

For best highlights - I'm taking Barry every time

For the person I'd hate to tackle most - Derrick Henry, Bus and AD plus Jim Brown and Earl Campbell

For most gifted - Walter Payton. Dude played on teams wayyyy worse than Barry except for the SB years and Sweetness didn't have to be taken out in short yardage. He could do everything and did it well

For receiving/running dual threat - Faulk and LT with an honorable mention for Roger Craig

If I need to win big games or it's clutch time- I'm taking Emmitt Smith.

The King finishes his 9th season, as the 19th-leading rusher of all time, with 11,423 yards. In his 6-year prime, he's averaging ~1521.7 yards/season...

You never know how long running backs will hold up, but he could potentially end next year, as the 10th All-Time rusher, if health and ability holds. Here's who is in reach for 2025:

19. Henry (11,423)
18. Jackson (11,438)
17. Taylor (11,695)
16. Thomas (12,074)
15. Harris (12,120)
14. Allen (12,243)
13. James (12,246)
12. Faulk (12,279)
11. Brown (12,312)
10. Dorsett (12,739)

Yards aside, look at this list and tell me how many of these guys were actually better players than Henry? It's not a lot, yall know I'm a Faulk Stan but there aren't many guys ahead of King who were actually better than him...

His 1921 yards this year is the 11th-highest single season total in NFL history. He's the first player to have two 1900-yard rushing seasons. First player with three 1500 yard, 15 TD seasons. Now tied with Jim Brown for 6th-most rush TDs ever...

We're watching legitimately one of the greatest backs of all time. If he ain't in your GOAT10 yet he's fukking close, only thing missing from his resume is a ring...

So he will be in the top 10 next year if that 1500 yard avg holds up. Even if he gets a lil over 1300 next season :ehh:

Henry had 186 yards tonight, which takes him to 918 for his playoff career. He's now the 9th-leading playoff rusher of all time...

This thread gonna get bumped every time because of how many people in this very thread, erroneously said he's not on the best RB they've seen. Which is fine, but some of the names nikkas saying were better than him absolutely weren't...

He's definitely the best RB post-Faulk!
