I liked both The Flash and Daredevil - The Flash seems like a traditional comic: bright, at times a bit goofy, but overall committed to delivering a fan pleasing story. Daredevil was as much into pleasing the fans and the story was there too. The darkness made it feel like a Marvel Knights book come to life.:banderas:

I kinda get what OP is saying with The Wire comparison, but they need to extend the story before I can agree with him. The same way that we got a look at Baltimore through the eyes of all these different groups (hood cats, cops, drug suppliers, kids, journalists), we'll get to see New York through the eyes of a blind man, a White woman, a Black Man, and a Kung Fu practicing White guy, by the time we get to The Defenders.

But he might not have meant that all :yeshrug:

Probably cause it felt more like a 13hr movie than an actually TV show
Nope that wasn't it. And there were more than enough divergences from the primary story to dispel the idea that it was one long movie to me.
Some characters were just terrible, namely Foggy and Karen. Some of the episodes were interminably slow and as much as I am a fan of Vincent D'Onofrio I really did not like his acting choices for Kingpin.
Also the whole Ben Urich did nothing for me.

Dude who played Daredevil was cool though and I would have loved it if the entire series focused on Murdoch and Stick because that was the most entertaining thing of the entire season to me.

No Whammies!!
Overall I think Daredevil is slightly better than Flash, but Flash is a more "fun" show and Flash's main villain might be the all time best single character in a superhero show.

It's because "Daredevil" is a Netflix show they binge-watched over the weekend. If they had to watch "Daredevil" week-to-week, they wouldn't be cysing it like this.
ehhh....Daredevil made me want to watch the entire series over the weekend (which I didn't actually do but really wanted to). I've watched an episode of the Flash with the ability to watch more episodes...and I still haven't attempted to binge watch. It just hasn't grabbed me like that
