Is Claudio Castagnoli a unlucky Main Eventer or a Great Midcarder?

Well is he?

I'm on the side of he's a great midcarder and there's nothing wrong with that.

Is the IWC right about him and just every company is in the wrong or are these companies seeing something that the IWC doesn't see?

Not everyone is going to be that top level main event guy. Mr. Perfect is a good example. :yeshrug:

With that said I do think Claudio could be a Main Event guy in AEW since he's built for that style. Heck even in TNA. He just had a ceiling in WWE.

Mr Perfect was better in ring, character, promo etc than majority of all former WWE and WCW world champs :gucci:

Far as Cesaro, the fans woulda been down with him getting a run with the world title in WWE :ehh:

What trip me out is how he didn’t even get a run with the IC title and just got 1 US title run. Not even a NXT title run :dwillhuh:

Been a fan since he came out here to wrestle in the States. Really wanted to see him get at least a short run with the main belt. I finally realized he’s not a main eventer. A strong upper midcarder. If he could cut a promo better and had more personality, he’d be up there.

he's just a good wrestler, with zero mic skills and marketable ability and that's why WWE never pushed him higher than the mid-card level.

being a good wrestler alone doesn't draw real money. never has and never will.
Oddly enough I think the Swiss Million Dollar man (Hey!) gimmick is probably closer to a main event prestation than his Swiss strongman/great wrestler gimmick that he has now.

I think he missing something character wise cause he's probably a upper midcarder who can challenge for title occasionally or be in top level tag-team spot right now.

It was hard to admit his potential as a true main event was over when they pushed Wheeler Yuta over him and there was no pushback from the fans :mjcry:

I think he's a mid mid-carder. A great mid-carder is someone I think through their ability or performance is going to get a shot/or should at the main event. That would be an idea doomed to fail with him.

I agree, I was just providing how someone that was great like Mr. Perfect doesn't always get to the next level. That was just the facts. No where did I say he wasn't any of those things you listed. And just so you know, Mr. Perfect > Cesaro. I feel like you took that the wrong way.

As far as no NXT title run. Cesaro was a main roster guy at the time and HHH was using him to get NXT talent over. I don't think HHH could trust Vince to keep him in NXT for a title run. So he kept the titles on guys that weren't already on the main roster. At least that's my take.
