The RE Engine was a gamechanger for them.
I was gonna make a thread on the RE engine being one of the best engines ever in gaming. Might make it today.

Not sure if Capcom is going to continue releasing new versions or even lease it out but it's legit the most stable engine I've seen running.

Last, gen, current gen, PC whatever. The RE engine runs Capcom games flawless. I don't know if it's the Capcom devs or just the engine or both.

They give people what they want for the most part, and they have a classic roster of games that sells
And think of all the franchises they can reboot now like Onimusha, Viewtiful Joe, Mega Man, Bionic Commando, lost planet, Dino crisis
fukk ALLL THIS. we need a new DarkStalkers before any of that.

Not just that, I feel capcom could be disney level if they expanded their reach outside of video games and electronics

They have strong IP's that could translate pretty well in to multiple media formats

Animes, movies, live action shows, amusement parks, merchandising, etc.

I hope they do decide to invest in it more. So long as it doesn't come as a detriment to the games. But the potential is there.

Cause with how well sonic and Mario movies have done, mega man is practically begging for one.

The plots of the former don't even come close to what all they could do with a mega man film franchise :wow:

Mega man X on the big screen is my greatest wish :ahh:
Right, from horror, to scifi, to goth, mechs, fighting games, anime and RPGs. Capcom legit can cover all bases, they could do remakes of all there old IPs for the entire generation and eat good off it.

Let me get a new mega man, breath of fire, asura wrath, power stone, dragon's dogma, final fight, lost plant, dino crisis, strider, viewiful joe, rival schools. :banderas:

The list goes on and on.

I sold my Capcom stock a year ago after making massive bread off it.I probably should have just held on to some of it though lol.

Its crazy considering capcom was near death until sf4 dropped that was years ago :wow:
Capcom was near death until monster hunter world dropped. That put them on the right track again. MH went from a super popular yet niche game (popular in Japan and niche in the states) to a world wide success which is ironic because that game isn't really easy nor is it intuitive or quick to pick up and play.

RE7 also made people kinda look at Capcom like :ehh: but MVCI dropped and kinda reminded people of Capcom of late and street fighter 5 etc etc... then MHW dropped and people were like :ehh: again.

After that dropping dropping Remakes how remakes should be done instead of wht they had been doing has been Golden for them.

Truthfully Capcom rereleases games more than any other publisher I can think of since the Dreamcast days (even before) they bundle and rerelease the same games every generation lol.

But somehow it makes sense and I'm not really mad at them for doing it... Especially when it's not sloppy.

All with old legacy IP.

Good for them but i think it’s an example of the contraction of the AAA games market.

Publishers are increasingly seeing the economic risk/reward of new ideas and IP diminishing.

If it’s not with a large proven IP or fanbase, it’s just not worth the investment. Same as what happened to movies.

Breh, every developer fell off over the years, but somehow Capcom still putting boots on necks. Dudes took a stale Resident's Evil and said "Aite bet"

These fukkers gave us not remastered, but REMAKES!!

Turn the damn 3rd person feeling into a FPS, these fukking madmen.

Megaman got the "aite bet treatment".

Street Fighter got the streets a popping.

GOAT shyt, I tell ya. Straight up steppas with the craft :damn:

Facts, there 1st "flop" or poorly received game in sometime is about to be exo primal simply because it's a new IP 1st and foremost.

But Capcom has been moving really smart lately and they made sure to take gamepass release day and date.

Capcom also made sure that sf6 wasn't exclusive to PS and only gave them exclusive marketing deals. Street fighter is a IP that is beyond any singular console much like Tekken.

I don't feel the same about Mortal Kombat but it's probably some what true for that series also.
