I used to work in gulf coast, MS for months at time. On one of my New Orleans weekend trips, I was out looking for the best pho, ended up NO east in a random run down shopping center. The Vietnamese spot was empty but official, some of the best pho I’ve had. There was one other person, a younger Vietnamese dude eating with what looked like a desert eagle on his hip. I forgot that Louisiana is open carry, so it threw me off. I finished my noodles and carried my ass back to the French quarter
I’d say NYC/Chinatown/Queens, Anaheim/Westminster/Long Beach, Oakland, Gulf Coast and Hawaii low key. Not just Polynesians…Hawaii is the only place I’ve seen a Yakuza tuxedo tattoo IRL

Beat me to it. I was coming to say Virginia Beach too, particularly Southwest VB. Salem, Centreville, Green Run, Arrowhead, Landstown, etc. Anywhere there's a lot of us, there's a lot of them, too...
In general I think any large city with a sizable Asian population is gonna have its section(s) of hood Asians. People who from cities that's like 3% Asian, of course you're not gonna be used to seeing hood Asians. Ain't hardly no Asians period...
