Ipad 2 is great but already gimped on the upcoming ios6 so just dont expect any more future features than it already has. A refurb for like 200-350 is a solid deal though. If you need one immediately id say go for it. With the yearly release cycle you can basically say keep waiting forever for the better one.

you're right. honestly, for ipads and iphones, if you dont buy them within the first 3 months of the release cycle and you have to save up the money, just wait for the next one. I copped my iphone 4s the day after it released. getting the iphone 5 possibly as well. if i do get it, i wont get an ipad. if i dont, then i will.

but i have this tendency to want the top of the line for big electronics like that.

I think a lot of people do an every other year buy cycle which is probably the smartest. I wish I could do that but I get sucked into every new launch :aicmon:. 4S was a disappointment but dont regret getting ipad 3 this year after having the 2.

Been wondering this myself. I've waited this long though, might as well wait for the next gen? But thanks to some of the posters here, I really wanna give the ASUS Prime a shot. Same with the Surface too, but Surface is way too expensive atm. Who else has survived the tablet wars so far? Shyt's about to get super ugly though.

The Asus Prime is the most bi-polar device I've ever owned. It either goes hard or it goes limp. One day I love and the next day I hate it. Look out for the Asus Pad Infinity it's about to come out. It's what the prime should have been, and at the same price. Either way, the keyboard dock and the battery life is a win.
