Elite college coach, took bum ass Butler to B2B national championship appearances, was close as hell to a title

Elite NBA coach, had 5'6 Isaiah Thomas as a top 5 MVP candidate, had 1 seeds and ECF appearances wit him as they best player and even 2018 Al Horford was probably their best overall player and they was a game away from finals

Elite executive, 2 finals appearances in 3 seasons. Just won his first championship.

And of course the shyt that made it happen

Neither Tatum or Brown finna be seen as historic players by the time they done but he built one of the most stacked and deepest rosters we seen that went 80-20 on the season despite not havin a top 5 player or a true MVP level talent. Just 1 top 10 player and 1 top 15 player some might even say top 20 its unprecedented for a team wit that level of star talent to be this dominant. Their top 6 players were all strong twoway players which you almost never see from any team in NBA history usually its a player who one way and a liability or very weak on one end but not they top 6.

He also got Payton Pritchard on a 4/30 contract. Signed good role players like Hauser and Tillman who was X Factors in an NBA finals. I don't think he missed a move in trades or free agency yet.

City of champions BAWSTON
I mean he turned Romeo Langford, the Corpse of Kemba Walker, Marcus Smart, Daniel Theis, Aaron Neismith and Robert Williams into Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, Derrick White and Al Horford.

He Hired Freaky Udoka and the Youngest Coach to ever win a championship since Bill Russell Second Row Joe back to back.

Has he had any misses yet as an exec?

And Udoka and Mazzulla was both on his coachin staff too when he was head coach which a sign of a great coach is who they choose as they assistants as we seen wit Pop coachin tree takeover.

Interesting to see what the moves are going forward since the top of the rotation is set in stone

I might be wrong but I think next season the only one where they can keep they top rotation in tact before new CBA and Tatum new extension kick in.

This is insanely nasty work. Idc what nobody say, Stevens’ legacy is as a failed coach, not a genius exec.

THIS WAS DANNY AINGE’S WORK. Tatum and brown are the picks that set this up. Adding in the peripheral pieces is something any GM could do. Especially bc of how the league works. Ex-stars turned overqualified role players are only valuable to elite contenders. So these types of players are ALWAYS available to contenders

Aaron Gordon- is useless to Orlando, priceless to Denver
KCP- useless to Detroit, priceless to LA and Denver
Gafford- useless to DC, integral to Dallas
Porzingis- useless to DC, integral to Boston
Jrue- useless to a rebuilding Nola, integral to Milwaukee and Boston

It’s no coincidence. So nah. Steven’s don’t get no special credit

Terrible posting.

Ainge was the master of pump faking. Always in rumors but never pulling the trigger. Stevens got the job and has made bold moves every season. You never hear about rumors with Boston now, just action.

Ainge wanted to be the smartest guy in the room; Stevens wants to make the team better and go for it now.

Nah he just exposed Danny Ainge for being an incompetent scam artist

fukk a terrible ‘posting’ this just terrible logic. He drafted Tatum and brown. Period. GM’s are remembered for drafting hall of famers and he drafted 2 of them. Back to back! Very possible that’s never been done before. It’s a statistical anomaly. It’s rare just to have HOFers taken in back to back drafts, let alone not top picks, let alone to the same team. That will be remembered 50 years from now. It will be remembered like the cowboys 89 draft, the Herschel Walker trade, Ozzie Newsome drafting Ogden and Ray Lewis, etc

Yet with all that you think picking up some aging vets —-something contenders do every year—-is what deserves the credit?? :mjtf: That’d be like praising the bulls for signing Ron Harper instead of praising them for drafting Jordan. :gucci: Be fukking real

Presti took KD, Westbrook and Harden in three consecutive drafts. :what:

Mavs got Luka and Brunson in the same draft. :unimpressed:

Ever heard of Stockton and Malone? :unimpressed:

I'm disgusted at the thought, but assuming Draymond makes it, him and Klay would be another pair. :unimpressed:

Rockets drafted Sampson and Dream in consecutive drafts.

This was the Ainge era: "The Celtics are interested in ________."

"They have a treasure trove of draft assets to trade for anybody in the league."

Then nothing happened. :unimpressed:

Stevens took over and all of those rumors stopped. They just started actually executing trades and now they won a title.

Like I said, terrible fukking posting. :unimpressed:
