Mike Evans and Chris Godwin aren't great WRs to have to rejuvenate a career?
The same OC in Tampa is the same OC that was in Seattle with Geno Smith last year.

It's not a coincidence.

Baker is ok as long as he dies get pressure because that’s when he gets rattled in the pocket

Plus it doesn’t hurt the last 4 games or so been against shytty secondaries
Really he was playing super mid before the Green Bay game where Joe Barry’s defense is a remedy for any struggling qb.

He was awful against ATL until the very end when he had some clutch throws, super mid against Carolina, and got outplayed by Gardner Minshew in Indy.

The nice & shiny TD ratio he has is going a long way for him coupled with the fact that we’re winning games. Jags dropped about 2 picks & at least pick 6 from him

I commend Baker tho, he’s played well above expectations all things considered. He’s playing at a premium compared to what he’s costing the Bucs

Upping this thread because this dude is about to lead his team to a 2nd straight division title with good stats too.

He’s #2 in both passing yards and TD’s thrown.
He’s proven a lot of people wrong :ehh:
That division title doesn’t mean much in a weak division, but I will say he has turned his career around and will make bank on that next deal if he keeps it up.

Winning your division is winning your division regardless of the competition or how weak one thinks it is.

Just some proof that QBs can develop, stop expecting greatness from everyone outta college. NFL QB is a very complex position with a lot of pressure, even worse in the worst team in the league.

People mature and find systems/coaches that work for them.:yeshrug:

I remember when Rodgers sat for 3 years, not a single start, not even in a team that went 4-12. Building a young guy up like a savior just to kill him cause he’s not sounds counterintuitive. See Caleb

As a Bucs fan that's watched him a lot over the last two seasons, he's definitely an above average QB with flaws. He throws to get his WRs killed at times and gets mad careless whenever he throws an INT for the rest of the game. I think he's second in the league in INTs. But he seems to be a legit locker room leader because the team rallies behind him and loves him.

I don't mind Baker. I remember how it was before we had Brady, and Baker is definitely an improvement from that.
