I never played any of them, and I really never hear much about them (except the first one) until now. I was looking at previews of AC3 and it looks cool. Is it worth going back and playing the other four titles?

I got revelations but didnt play it yet..only got it cuz it was dirt cheap. I will wait out AC3 too until the price drops. Only reason to get it early is if you want to play alot of multiplayer

Nah, but really I'm one of those OCD gamers. If I'm going to commit myself to this... I have to start from the beginning. I see it's like $15 used at GameStop.

You can get the earlier games for 10-15 bucks a pop, def worth checking out.

then word of advice. Just do the minimum effort and get past part 1.
and you can buy revaltion and that comes with part 1.
AC1 is repetitive but it also has the best assassinations (if done right). I also liked ac1 its fighting mechanics more than ac2 and brotherhood. AC2 is the best of the series overall (story, flow, collectibles). I really thought brotherhood was a slight step back from ac2.
