What rubbed me the wrong way was the way he got a pass for so much of his borderline racist commentary, What really got me was during the press conference. Talking about how nate and nick are wannabe cholos but they teach kids jiujitsu on the weekend. nikka might be from ireland, but that disrespect of the 209 is something you can get bodybagged very quickly for. I spend alot of time there and its a wasteland with a lack of oppurtunity, jobs and just a general lack of hope. tons of migrant workers and lack of education and a TON of gang activity. To say something like that just bothered me, i dont think he realizes alot of bonafide prison bred NF members hold regular jobs but when sent the word, will body you quickly. Saying something like that just really bugged me. Not to mention if you seen my boxing thread on here, i watch technique and this guy is just incredibly sloppy, generally speaking i just dont see "it".

For the past few months I've seen casuals enter MMA hailing Conor as some sort of Great White Hype.

A lot of Blacks and Brazilians dominate MMA now so I could see why.

Anywho I started to get pissed that every white person who had a great grandfather who was half Irish and liked Guinness were all of a sudden Irish and waving Irish Flags and shyt. I was in Philly and saw the last Conor fight and all of a sudden after Weidman lost to Rockhold, everyone in there was Irish.

Don't get me wrong, I like him as a fighter, but I don't like the fandom and cult of personality around him.

Now his fans can eat some humble pie and I'm sure RDA will rip him apart.

'Irish'-Americans are truly the fukking worst.

McGregor isn't even popular in Ireland. Outside of working class young urbanites, he is generally disliked. We prefer our sportsmen humble and modest like Andy Lee, not loudmouth morons.
