but having options is not complicated or discouraging to gaming

it’s actually a plus.

I'm saying people aren't gonna want to deal with the troubles that comes with PC gaming. People want to plug in power supply, plug in HDMI, grab a controller and go. nikkas don't want to deal with driver issues, optimization issues, etc. No matter how you slice it, if PC is the future, there has to be a level of simplifying things for the console players that don't want to deal with a PC, especially if things start to go wrong. Things have gotten much easier in the last decade, sure, but console players will still say its not enough compared to the experience they've experienced pretty much their whole lives.

I'm a huge advocate for PC gaming, but let's be real, console nikkas don't want or care for that.



Be interesting to see, but do you think console players are gonna go from console to whatever were to come next if the hardware changed/disappeared? There are still people very adamant about buying disc.

When you say there’s still people adamant about having disc I say how many? If it’s an overwhelming minority then why would progress care? People had vhs collections too. Do people talk about their Blu-ray collections? How about uhd collections?

I be Walmart all the time and the gaming section is always empty these days. I don’t even look, what for when it’ll be half that price on the dashboard itself. I got cyberpunk for $10 on disc, The instant I can transfer this to digital somehow it’s going down

You feel hampered walking around in real life too because you can’t react that fast in real life. So you like playing fake style. You can turn on invincibility too!!! That’s the last obstacle from playing out on God mode

as for people that keep thinking pc is difficult. how? i understood how back in 2006 people could say that, but this day and age, almost everybody should know the basics of hardware. when its time to upgrade, its literally just opening up a box, and replacing a component, plug and play. theres a million tutorials on youtube, we didn't have those in the mid 00s. then again this day and age there's people that still don't know how to change a tire or oil change

I don’t agree with the mouse keyboard being better but I can use it and it has its usefulness. But in terms of gaming, fps games are hampered by those types of controls because it turns everyone into super humans. If that’s the game angle then sure. And on PC it’s too easy to cheat on mouse and keyboards. I didn’t think all that was worth having slightly better graphics

The same way activision has to sell, Nintendo will one day go thru a period where sales are not as good as they been. Nintendo continues to make systems that can’t run current Gen games. That’s problematic.

They don’t have much direct competition, they focus on family friendly games and have a bunch of IP that they milk and milk and milk. So it’s easy to see why they will eventually have competition because they only barely move their genres forward after creating basically the genre itself. The switch is portable and so is Gamepass. Gamepass gets lots of switch only titles and you don’t have to pay $30-40 for each one like you do on Nintendo. They are moving in on that territory as well as all others. This is the trajectory of the industry at the moment…

PC has gaming numbers that are not properly quantified. There’s a billion PCs out there, so a game like world of Warcraft could have 100 million players but if you were to ask how many ppl have adequate gaming PCs that number would plummet to less than consoles.

That truth doesn’t get spoken on enough, sales of games tell a better story. NBA 2k and madden never sold well on PC. Isn’t that weird???
