Am I the only one who cant take AJ's gimmick seriously?

I believe Mickie James set the bar pretty high for the female lunatic (and Luna Vachon). Its hard to believe anyone would be intimidated by Aj, especially when she was beating up Katelynn like 2 months ago, Katelynn would dust her in real life

Although AJ is doing good in this one fued, I'd rather her be the cool replacement of Kelly Kelly. Pretty much the female CM Punk in the way that she geniunely is a wrestling fan so it comes off more natural for the fans to appeal to her and add some "Lita 2000 swag" and you got a popular diva for years to come

this crazy girl shyt was just a way to help tie bytch ass Kane into the fued

fukk that old "cac in a mask" :pacspit:

"The Reality Era " could have produced some new opportunities for a different type of characters. Just have some outspoken cats. Like put Tyson Kidd vs. Sin Cara and right before the bell rings let him get a mike and say im not doing a damn thing until you turn on these damn lights. Put Kidd vs. Del Rio and before the bell rings have him say im not doing a damn thing until you put subtitles on the titantron of what Ricardo just said or have him do the entrance over again with Justin Roberts. This is an example of how you can make a "useless" dude cool. shyt even have Jack Swagger come out and ask questions about why isn't his pyro covered in the budget any more and have him feud with the remaining wrestlers who do have pyro to prove that he's better than them. We've seen feuds created over more stupid shyt, so this could actually work.
I looked at the screen like :ohhh: good ideas right here.

The reason the reality era didn't work is because the poster child who sparked it fell into line once his demands was met. I'm a huge CM Punk fan, it's almost a sin to say that in the TSC, but last summer the man gave us a reason to watch wrestling again. Its crazy though how once his piss poor demands was met he was satisfied, he became everything he was shooting on. Which I felt Vince wanted to prove a point that money can change anyone. "Coke Boy" made the prophet a puppet and an example to anyone else trying to be self made in the E ask Ryder. I think Nash said it best once, "The only thing that's real in the business is the money." Phil is paid now and the real reality era is dudes staying on some corny shyt for that paper.

As far as the crazy gimmick goes I feel bad for AJ because after the crazy shyt dies down, next she will be booked as the cunning hoe. Rather than use Kane's old ass, Cody should have been involved. This could have been a way to lead him back into the mask. AJ could have said she has a thing for monsters and Cody is not a monster. Thus he could have hit Punk and Bryan with the mask they put it back on to show AJ he's a monster and won the title. Then you could put Punk and Bryan in the WWE title MITB match because they are truly needed.

That's a big problem with WWE now a days is too many of the characters are boring and bland regardless of heel and face status. Look at the few guys that are over, all eccentric. Even back in the day look at a guy like Bret who seemed straight laced. But when you think about it he came out wearing pink tights and purple sun glasses talking about he was the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be.

They need to let cocaine back into the industry, liven these guys up some.
cena and trips are eccentric?

Cena used a rapping wigger. And how many other wrestlers are wrestling in jorts and sneakers. And HHH was a grown man going around telling people to suck it and smashing them with sledge hammers. He also drugged and married the bosses daughter. If that's not eccentric out there behavior I don't know what is.

:yeshrug: THEY ended it, not Orton. I mean yeah, on TV he did... but it never shoulda ended no matter what. How you got serious emotional problems and talk in a weird voice and all that shyt... then you get your ass beat... and go back to being cocky heel #46923635 the next week? I feel like that coulda been HIS character... like how Goldust is Dustin's and Mankind is Foley's. Not a phase that the otherwise normal Cody just went thru, that's just dumb.

Can't explain the decision to end it. Prob'ly had something to do with Vince not understanding what the character meant or some shyt, who knows.

Its funny that two of the most common criticisms of the WWE today are that a) there are so many guys on the roster being wasted and b) the roster is so thin.

I'm like ummm shouldn't they be able to fix one of these problems almost automatically since they are basically antithetical? You basically have to be actively working to produce a terrible product on purpose in order to both have a roster that is perceived to be thin and also have a ton of guys waiting around with nothing to do.

Back in the glory days everyone on TV was interesting. Midcard guys had gimmicks, backstories, unique looks and ongoing storylines. Now the majority of both the top guys, midcarders and bottom feeders are boring as fukk and generic. Midcard guys waiting around to move up and never do. Nothing interesting or exciting happens because that might disturb the mediocre-ass status quo. Almost every time it seems like something new or exciting is developing, its quickly squashed and revealed to be nothing but yet another means to prop up Cena, etc. and sell a few more terrible tshirts.

Cray-J>>>whatever shew as doing before. I don't think the unhinged gimmick is the only thing that can revamp a career but there needs to be a significant change from their normal MO to grab people's interest and attention. It's just an easy go-to and people usually prefer the path of least resistance. I think it serves as a means of separating from a previous persona. Like in this case, when AJ snaps out of it, she can reinvent herself in a more subtle way. In this case, I still don't care about her persona, so much as just think it's funny which is an improvement from zero interest at all.
