and Ric Flair was definitely a face along with the Horsmen vs the nWo

actually, that was a piff way to turn face

Him and the Horsemen ran WCW from like 1994-1996 as a heel stable but then by default, they had to defend WCW's honor against the new rebellious nWo

I don't think a turn is required, but they would need to find a way to keep their character from getting stale, and need a few moments you can refer to as landmarks. Just so happens that in most cases, a turn is an easy way to achieve both goals.

Not quite..its all about the moments . Rick Rude was never a pronounced face except maybe ECW. But he is memorable, iconic, and legendary. John Cena isnt. If it wasnt for once in a lifetime, he wouldnt even be on the radar today. If Bryan never got injured, he would of been left utterly in the dust....

Even for you this is some absurd, baffling shyt :mjlol:

Flair flip flopped a lot. Just about anytime he wasn't champion and was back in JCP full time, he was a face. When he was touring champion, he was almost always a heel, because pretty much all NWA Champions were heels when touring by default, even if they were respectable clean cut babyfaces before winning the title. The first Starrcade is built around face Flair chasing heel Harley, for example. He also went face for a bit in the mid 80s against the Russians, then again in 1989. Then when he returned to WCW in 1993, he was a face until Hogan came in. Then off and on multiple times in in 1995 to the end of WCW, multiple times on and off in his second WWE run.

He was face for a lot more of his career than people think. At some point after 1995ish it became a respect thing where it didn't matter if he was heel or face, he was Ric Flair and was going to get cheered for doing Ric Flair things for the rest of his days.

:gucci: Cena was a heel before...that heel run is what propelled him into being a megastar.
:dahell: his heel run was in the mid card, and his face turn led to a face run where he spent the next 14 months as a mid card face before his main event push. In fact he spent all of 2004 competing for US title and went into 2005 still holding it.
