I never worked this fulltime shift but I've always felt this was the greatest work shift available due to already having to wake early and you have a whole afternoon open to do things, especially once the clock changes.

Anyone on this shift or even 3:30 loving it?

work it now and i like it.

On weekends I usually open and work 645 to 4. I just hate waking up early and am a night owl so it's rare if I'm sleeping before 2. I usually nap after work or catch up on days off. Most of the week I work midshifts from like 10-12 to 6-8. Miss the heavy rush hour traffic depending on time and get to be home in time for any big primetime games or anything else. I rarely work the closing shift but it has its benefits. it's not 4 out 5 til 1215, so I can wake up midmorning, run any errands or appointments. get ready and go to work, hit up the gym after when it's not as packed, and go home and eat and chill and catch up off the dvr. best part of late shifts is the manager ain't there to aggravate us all so I get to run things in peace. no micromanaging at work is :blessed:

11-8pm is the BEST. Get up at 9:30, go to work when people are going to lunch, and leaving when that rush hour traffic is gone. Plus the last 2-3 hours, damn near no one is watching you working, if work is completed.

If you live fairly close to your job it's the goat.

People have to get up at 5 for a 7 o'clock shift? :what:

I mean, 5:30 sure, but I'm more likely to get up at like 5:50, and if that's not early enough I'll either move or get another job. I hate wasting time on the commute.

lol where do you live where this is such an easy option to make?

If your shift starts at 7, you gotta be there by 645 (to be early is to be on time). You gotta shower, iron, eat breakfast. That is a 30mn thing in itself.

Naw breh. I'm definitely not doing any of that before I go to work.

And I'm likely showering the night before anyways.

Far as arriving at 6:45...depends on the job. The jobs I've had where you have to punch in usually don't even allow you to clock in until like 6 or 7 minutes before your start time anyways.

Up at 4:50, out the door by 5:20...if it takes longer than 30 minutes to get there I can't do it.
