I don't know Jay...I'll be 30 next year and it just feels like it's just going to be 30.

Wen I was 20, I had no principles or foundation. It took me the majority of my 20s to get to the point where I re-evauated my life and started to actually live with purpose and become a productive member of society. Where I stopped making excuses and living like there was no tomorrow and started working for the future.

I have no desire to have a second childhood or to be that old man in the club. I enjoy being an adult and I worked my ass off to prove to people I was worth a damn. And I still haven't felt like I'm at a level of being truly content in anything because I've just been trying to stay true to my dreams and reach my goals.

I guess Jay was basically implying that in regards to "havin fun cause you have money and security" but let's not lie to ourselves here. The mindset of your average 20 year old and 30 year old are completely different.

No, it's still 30 :heh:. What are the all the 20 year olds reduced to if all of the 30 year olds are 20 :dwillhuh:?
10 year olds.

Well TBH, I think each and every generation that's been coming up has kind of regressed maturity wise. I feel society promotes a youthful and youth obsessed culture so that encourages many people to try to sustain their youthful vitality through any means neccessary (ie plastic surgery, the popularity of gyms/yoga/pilates/active sports/etc, botox, fashion, etc.).

Most people are better off financially and mental at 20 then they are 30. Usually at 20, you're just broke. At 30, most people are full of debt, bills and stress. Not including better from failed relationships.

So it's all on the person. Age ain't nothing.

I agree, but I didn't have any means to be independent financially when I was 20 and I was still in college. I wasn't really free to do my own thing like I am now.

But yeah, with financial independence comes debt and bills.

I'll be 30 next year. When I was 20 all I cared about was getting some. Now that I almost 30 all I care about is becoming well off.

Ive said it before, i look forward to my 30s. No kids, paper is almost right, and i damn near can do anything i want within reason.

My teens and early 20s sucked so maybe this is why i feel so...but i have no intentions of settling down anytime soon. Work, relationship, starting a business, hell im going back to school in the next year on my companies dime. I dont know too many 30+ cats with a typical 30 somethings life that can do that.

And thats not to say that having the family life is worse, because by far having a wife and kid and a family you can provide a stable and uplifting situation is more rewarding. But i think a life lived is when you have had both sides of the coin.

I'm 30 and I love it.

Can't speak for everyone, but I don't feel 30 - like, physically I don't think I look old. I have more responsibility, but feel more comfortable with myself overall...mentally, physically, emotionally and professionally. I've achieved a lot of my goals, so I'm happy.
