Above all, do what makes you happy.

Starting at 28 puts you at a significant disadvantage, but even if you started at 8 your chances would be incredibly slim. It's like the guy who buys ten lottery tickets chastising the guy who buys one....sure, he's ten times more likely to win, but his chance of hitting the jackpot is still very small.

If you're passionate about it, pursue your happiness....that's what life's about. :manny:

Now get this out of the Arcadium

:ughh:

You're really discrediting the art/culture of rap/hiphop by comparing it to lottery tickets. That's like saying someone's chances of making it to the nba, nfl is similar to winning the lottery. This simplifying it waay too low...it aint just luck (sure some luck which more just preparation and opportunity is involved) but if your talented in making records ppl like and grind and work hard you can probably see marginal success even if it's just in your region. By contrast there aint no hard work, talent or any sort of barrier of entry in buying lottery tickets :stopitslime:.

If you're talking about just starting to rap for the first time than you probably won't blow. But if you have been rapping for a while and just waiting on the right opportunity, it could happen for you. Eminem was 26 when his first official album came out. And 50 was almost 28 when Get Rich dropped. It's possible but you have to work at your craft and get your name out there.

In terms of making it big, it's a crap shoot.:manny:
