The government is not behind on tech.....Not even close.....Its just the govt civilian jobs that the will not spend money on......

M$ and the IRS will work something out......I doubt if they pay the numbers stated in the article
Take it from a network engineer who has worked in both sectors.....The government is way behind in new technological stuff.

Unless it's an emergency they are not upgrading...

it would be funny if this level of incompetence was new.
The government is "no ones property" so as long as they get their pay checks thanks to you and me...they don't give a fukk.

shyt like this rarely happens in the private sector.

Practically all Federal IT projects crash and burn they just aren't publicized like the Obamacare website debacle was. If you ever work for the Feds in IT get your money then get out. The level of incompetence might be contagious if you stay too long.
