Ricardo Mayorga whooping some MMA ass in this fight under MMA rules:yeshrug:

Can I please see evidence that a MMA fighter can beat a Boxer in a boxing match? Because I've only been shown that Boxers can win under MMA rules, not alot, but they do win sometimes. I have yet to see a MMA fighter beat a former Boxing champion in a BOXING match.

Word to former boxing champ Ray Mercer knocking former UFC Champ Tim Sylvia the fukk out in a MMA bout under MMA rules:heh:

I dont think there's been a case where a MMA fighter has ever defeated a former boxing champion in a boxing ring under boxing rules

Thanks to Ray Mercer, MMA cannot say the same:yeshrug:

Tim is an idiot who was out of shape (even for his standards) who had the gall to think he could stand in front of a legit pro boxer because he was "representing MMA" in his words, dude was so used to using his jab in mma to keep people away from him.

instead of doing exactly this

I actually cheered when Mercer dropped his ass

I hope you don't find anyone who thinks logically that will tell you an healthy in shape MMA fighter would beat a healthy in shape boxer in a boxing ring.

the chess game of particular discipline requires far too specific of a skill set.

That is exactly it. A legit fighter who basically isn't coming out of the elderly care facility would work a boxer, but the same goes to boxing...I could see a boxer gone to pasture fukking around and losing for the same reasons.
When it comes to a reasonable matchup - there is no way a fighter from either could cross over and win.

What the hell was Tim thinking though? Standing right in front of Mercer who was a huge puncher (and even with age that power won't decrease a ton) and Mercer had a GOAT level chin. The only way you would lose that fight is to stand right in front of Mercer and let him swing at you. :what:

An MMA fighter will not beat a boxer at boxing...

1) MMA fighters don't have the stamina to go 12 rounds...Them dudes be gassed by the 3rd round

2) MMA fighters can't throw punches to save their lives...

However, I would rather watch an MMA fight than a boxing fight, because MMA is more brutal...

Boxing is not really fighting...I am talking about organized boxing, not street boxing...

A top flight boxing match has a KO or TKO once in a blue moon...

that's just it with boxers, it's not some cliche that power is the LAST thing to leave, it's real what's worse is Tim never even saw the punch that hit him.

you're right man, a boxer can't stand generally properly in front of a wrestler because of how the legs are exposed, the same that a wrestler/jits/muay thai guy isn't equipped to deal with the angles boxers force people to work from, especially someone whose feet aren't trained to work the floor that way.

the sports target the same demographic but they really aren't the same because you have to be different type of athletes

ufc fans dont like black people. so they dont like boxing.

they get mad when they see that the highest paid athlete is black and a boxer.

Thats one guy. Mexicans run boxing though.

I wonder how much of the gdp of mexico is contributed by Floyd ppvs though.

It's also stupid to evaluate an MMA fighters pure boxing skills by judging him on how he looks in the octagon. Even professional boxers would look amateurish and throw loopy punches if they were standing extra feet apart from a normal boxing range.

You cant stand with a traditional boxing stance in an MMA fight. Youll get your ass taken down with the quickness. Footwork is the most important aspect of boxing aside from punching itself.

I dont know why you nikkas seem fit to STILL try to compare two TOTALLY different sports.
