I don't even really give a fukk about the Mandarin twist. A lot of that was fake outrage because while he's a memorable Ironman villain....Ironman himself was always a B tier character prior to the MCU. People reacted like they fukked up Magneto or something. :what:

The movie was ass because his suits were damn near made of Legos this entire movie. He got hit by a car and one fell apart, for Christ sake. I get that they were prototypes but it came off as "let's just have RDJ run around for 2 hours" which is not what I paid to see.

Whole movie was full of just....dumb shyt. No other way to put it. He gives his address out to terrorists, they pull up and blow his whole shyt up. His entire reason for existing is weapons and/or armor creation....how in the fukk does 2-3 helicopters get the drop on where he lives? :dahell:

The whole "Pepper Potts is a super hero" sub-plot. Which they just said "fukk it" and dropped abruptly after this movie.

The "real Mandarin" in the movie being a disgruntled nerd, basically.

I liked the PTSD angle and his interactions with the kid. And him building random shyt when he infiltrated the mansion. That was dope. But over all the movie is awful.

I see people saying other MCU movies....most of them aren't bad. The MCU's main problem is a gang of their movies are just kinda....there. To move the plot forward towards Thanos. So I don't mind them in a "going through the motions" sort of way. But "IM3" is actually, legitimately, bad.

Okay I'll try to explain this here.. I like Mandarin and I wanted to see him done justice but I could be in the minority on that. Regardless it isn't so much that they did the bait and switch..

It's that they did the bait and switch from what was a cool character and then gave us a generic tech villain when in Iron Man and Iron Man 2 we also had generic tech villains. Dudes in suits. 3 movies in a row. IM3 was the opportunity to give us something more and expand the universe outside of Tony's little bubble. I mean the whole reason this guy was pissed off was because he got snubbed at a New Year's party so Tony could go get some ass. It's hilarious but terrible. That's what made it so bad. You take a cool character, shyt on that and they the payoff is weak as fukk lol

Well they pretty much made the villains of "IM3" completely obsolete with that "All Hail The King" short movie.

Aldrich Killian wasn't really a guy in a suit but I get your point.

Another problem I have with these movies is they have to keep Tony out of the suit for as long as possible. It's always a balancing act. Because once he puts it on it's game over. Dude is probably the best on the planet at weapons tech so he's gonna fukk everyone else up. Which is what happened in 1 and 2. Then 3 they went full retard with it where he has no suit 90% of the movie. Or he has suits that break if you sneeze. The Ironman movies really started the "MCU villain" problem because if they gave him threatening villains in the first place they wouldn't have to worry about that. If you notice in "Infinity War" he has a suit on in damn near every scene because....well, it's Thanos and The Black Order. He's not gonna stunt on them with some shyt he built from Home Depot.

Yea..... but it wasn’t Manderin.... it was “Trevor”

Manderin has yet to make his MCU debut yet.
I get how that’s disappointing but that’s the truth of the manner.

Lol.... you know, I’ve seen in many threads, certain cats always say or claim “Marvel doesn’t take CHANCES” in their movies.

Well they took a chance with that, hate it or love it:manny:

I liked IM3, had no problem with anything in the movie. The second one was bad, the first one was really good, and the third one was good. I understand why Tony wasn't in his suit, it's the Spiderman 2 blueprint, "the superhero is inside the suit, not the suit itself".
