The only Wu album I still refuse to go back and listen to is A Better Tomorrow. As a Wu fan, WTF was that??

8 Diagrams and Iron Flag both have great tracks. I absolutely love The W. It's still a personal favorite of mine because it was the first Wu album I purchased when it actually released. I was in 5th grade when Wu Tang Forever came out so I missed out on that piff.

I like A Better Tomorrow. I listen to it regularly - it's a mature Wu album. It's only missing a skit before Reunion. 8 Diagrams is the one I don't like

That horn sample on pinky ring is masterful. This is the song that made me get into the Wu-Tang. I was 9 yrs late on Wu-Tang they wasn't big in my small town in Texas so we never paid them no mind like that. And I took my south and west coast bias with me into my early to mid 20s. But now they right there with NWA, Geto Boys, Outkast, and UGK as my top hip hop groups of all time

Chrome wheels was my shyt. Used to play that every morning on the way to school smoking my little roaches and jamming. I def think iron flag is their most under appreciated album.

I copped this album the day it came out, I was only 11/12 .. I was watching MTV a few days prior and saw the new shyt was out. I told my sister to take me HMV to cop this for xmas, while I was there I also copped the game Driver.

That was probably the illest Christmas ever.

For nostalgic reasons I'll never say it was an average album but even now as a 30 year old man I go back and listen to it sometimes objectively and I still think its heavily underated.

Babies is one of the best hip hop tracks of all time for me.

I wish I could go back to those days ... my cousin had a bootleg CD version of stillmatic with the one paper printout of the album cover. Instead of Ether it had Dialoted Peoples "worst comes to worst" ... We didnt hear Ether until years afterwards :snoop:

It’s got some nice joints, but to me, I think the overall sound of the album is just too upbeat and uptempo. The first 6 joints don’t have that Wu sound I was looking for. If it had more joints like Y’all Been Warned, Iron Flag and Babies I would rate it much higher.

The W didn’t really have that classic Wu sound either but I fukked The W way more than Iron Flag. The W was much darker and just appealed to me more compared to the music coming out at the time.

And I’m not saying Wu can’t do upbeat songs, but Iron Flag just had too many.

One of Wu's weaker albums but still had true Wu classics to its name.

The only track I don't really play unless it comes on shuffle and I'm in a good mood is Dashing. I suppose thats a good song to play over the Xmas season though.

And Soul Power, beat is ass and that outro conversation
