Whilst there are some similarities between the Palestinian struggle and that of African Americans, there are also some glaring differences too.

Ireland went toe to toe with the British Empire at it's strongest, even had a civil war amongst themselves to fight for their indepenence. They are not going to be pushed around by Israel, they would rather suffer the consequences if any.

I saw a lot of support for Palestine when I went to Ireland.

I learned a lot about irelands history vs the UK (Britain) while I was there and it made sense why they fukked with them

Respectfully, most of our “black leaders” were killed young before they really matured and got to formulate their opinions in a well rounded way. A lot of them were 1 dimensional not very well rounded and prisoners of the moment and the word they lived in back then.

Can’t compare their time time to today. Where we have way more access to info and opposing views at our fingertips

And I’m PROBABLY more knowledgeable on the religious element when it comes to Israel and Palestine than anyone you referred.

And that’s no pat on my back because I doubt they were as educated, knowledgeable, and just experienced in life as much as a lot of people on this forum.

So for this type of debate in 2024 and the problems we face they’re irrelevant and just regular people to me.

I’ll stand by what i say.

All respect to them for the impact and influence they had at the time in the black communities. I love learning about that history

And I like the positions of kwame toure, however I’d gladly challenge him in a debate on the topic if I had a time machine.

And lastly, Palestinians aren’t anymore “black” than Jews are.

So why would I sympathize with either side unless we are talking Jews from Ethiopia or Yemen who actually are blacker than any Muslims/Arabs Palestinians

let’s just not confuse a race issue with a religion one.
